Climate Change: How are youth forcing world leaders to act?

A lot of people know that climate change is an issue, that’s not the debate, the debate is how willing they’re to get involved. And a lot of young people don't feel that they have the power at all to make any change if we actually come together we totally can change so many things.

What was particularly inspiring about Sunrise Movement was the group of young people who are willing to meet the challenge and they are making our voices heard and not only they are making noise about it but are also putting pressure on the political system to make sure that the Democrat politicians come along with them and take up the cause to push for an economy based on renewable resources. Which we need to move towards.

One more good example is of school climate strikes. Of young 1.4 million people taking to the streets to demand change. And the Sunrise Movement was a very good example of that determination, energy and passion.

The green ideal is for the first time putting forward a federal vision for America and that actually is discussing climate action rooted in social and economic justice. Ensuring that water and clear air are universal human rights and that justice, jobs and climate protecting all of those things at once go hand in hand.
